Elaine’s Caribbean Crochet hosted weekly sessions entitled “Knit-Her” for the month of October bringing together women and girls to learn and practice the artform of crochet.
“Knit-Her” a play on the word “knitter” focused on creating a network where crochet artists could “craft, create and connect” making breast cancer awareness ribbons, bags, and breast prosthesis.
The patterns followed were:-
The first event entitled “Stitch-Along Saturday” was followed by “Crochet for a Cause”.
The third activity “Knit Her: 100 for 100” was postponed due to inclement weather.
These events will culminate with the “Crochet School is Cool” Youth Workshop to be held at Trade and Innovation Expo (TIE).
