We let our Creativity Thrive in 2025!

In 2025, Elaine’s Caribbean Crochet operated as a year-round creative training, environmental education, and community development organisation, delivering continuous programmes locally and regionally. The year began with the regional execution of Crochet for a Cause: Ridge to Reef in Grenada from January 9–11, marking the organisation’s continued expansion across the Caribbean. This was followed by the Community Empowerment and Environmental Partnership, Crochet at the Centre, implemented at the Norman Centre from January 18 to February 22, alongside the hosting of weekly Saturday crochet classes throughout January and February.

From March to April 2025, Elaine’s incorporated the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into its Crochet for a Cause programming, positioning crochet as a tool for environmental awareness, education, and sustainable livelihoods. Throughout the year, Elaine’s maintained its longest-running environmental programme, Crochet for a Cause: Ridge to Reef, hosting structured weekly sessions on Thursdays from 1pm to 3pm from February through November 2025.

Elaine’s also maintained consistent training delivery through monthly in-person and online crochet classes across March, May, July, August, September, October, and November. These sessions catered to a wide demographic, ensuring ongoing skill development and creative engagement through both face-to-face and virtual platforms.

The organisation hosted multiple Crafting with Purpose workshops in February, May, June, and October 2025, using crochet as a medium for personal development, mindfulness, and empowerment. These workshops complemented the technical training by supporting holistic participant development.

In May 2025, Elaine’s achieved significant international exposure through the distribution of over 100 handcrafted Crochet for a Cause: Ridge to Reef products at the Caribbean–Canada Leaders Dialogue 2025. This engagement positioned Elaine’s work within a high-level regional diplomatic and cultural forum, highlighting the role of creative industries in environmental advocacy.

Strategic partnerships also formed part of the year’s activities, including the hosting of the Minds in Motion workshop in collaboration with KnotsofLove246 in November 2025. This reflected Elaine’s continued commitment to collaboration, creative exchange, and community-driven learning.

The regional execution of Crochet for a Cause: Ridge to Reef Saint Kitts and Nevis in November 2025, further strengthened Elaine’s role as a Caribbean-wide cultural, environmental, and community development organisation.

Through consistent training, environmental programming, youth and community engagement, and regional partnerships, Elaine’s Caribbean Crochet demonstrated sustained impact, resilience, and regional relevance throughout 2025.
