“Created to Create” offers a space to come together, learn, and grow.

During the event, participants will have the opportunity to access a curated selection of books on running a godly business, providing valuable insights and practical wisdom for navigating the entrepreneurial journey. Additionally, attendees will engage in hands-on crochet sessions, connecting with the community through creativity in a meaningful way. Mark your calendars for Saturday, April 6th, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, and join us at Unit 3 (downstairs) of the Norman Centre. Handouts will be provided, ensuring that you leave equipped with valuable resources and actionable steps to apply to your business endeavors.

Facilitator: Nikisha Toppin

Nikisha Toppin is the Founder of Elaine’s Caribbean Crochet, a social enterprise that empowers female handcrafters with the resources, skills, and tools to make their businesses more financially sustainable.

She has worked in Corporate Communications and Public Affairs for international and regional organisations as the United Nations, Caribbean Examinations Council and the U.S. Embassy Bridgetown.

She is currently the Vice President Communications for the International Association of Business Communicators, Barbados, and is the Small Business Association Award 2023 Recipient for “National Award for Outstanding Achievement in Sustainable Development,” “Small Business of the Year Award,” and the distinguished “Chairman’s Award.”

She has worked with CRU (Campus Crusade for Christ) in Student Venture, the Life at the Crossroads Curriculum, FamilyLife, and LeaderImpact ministries. As an Instructor of Teachers with Child Evangelism Fellowship, she trains believers in the “Teaching Children Effectively” Course and currently leads the Good News Club.

Nikisha holds an MSc in marketing and a BSc in Management.
