Community and Cultural Icon Award Nominee – Nikisha Toppin
Nikisha Toppin is the Founder of Elaine’s Caribbean Crochet, a legacy to her grandmother Elaine Doyle.
Through her social enterprise, Nikisha created a climate action and awareness programme titled “Crochet for a Cause: Ridge to Reef”.
She has facilitated workshops in Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Grenada, Panama, St. Lucia, St. Kitts an Nevis, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and Trinidad and Tobago, making her a true Caribbean woman.
On her website, Nikisha has established the Caribbean crochet directory, which keeps the community connected.
