Elaine’s Caribbean Crochet has officially closed it’s creative studio located at Norman Centre, Broad Street, Bridgetown on Saturday 31st May 2026. The social enterprise will now focus on reviewing the business and marketing strategy for future engagements and projects.
The studio was established in July 2025, with previous exhibitions held in 2023 and 2024 for the “Crochet for a Cause: Ridge to Reef” project. This project was previously funded by the Global Environment Facility Small Grants programme of the United Nations Development Programme.
At the studio, classes, workshops, and Good News Club activities were held on a rolling basis. Participants of the programmes ranged from primary school to senior citizen age.
Elaine’s will utilise the month of June to develop new partners to better facilitate social enterprise activities and enhance systems to advance regional programming.
