Ansonya recently started participating in our Crochet for a Cause: Ridge to Reef project. She patiently sat with the pattern sheet seeking to complete the assigned task for that week. After three attempts and guidance, she crafted a crocheted shell earring.
She was granted two rolls of yarn from our inventory for her contribution.
One week later, when Ansonya returned, she had brought along a friend, and almost a dozen roses which she had crocheted, creating a beautiful bouquet.
Through the project, we have been able to pay Ansonya for the flowers, giving the finances to her mother, who has indicated it will be used for Ansonya’s educational needs in the upcoming school year.
Ansonya has committed to participating in the project and we look forward to seeing the future masterpieces she will create.
