As part of the Ellerslie School’s Women’s Week celebrations, following International Women’s Day, a series of workshops were held to inspire and equip students with practical skills and leadership insights. The sessions included Digital Photography, Voice Training, Crocheting, Public Speaking, Business Leadership, and Women in Church Leadership.

Elaine’s was honored to be invited to lead the Crocheting Workshop, where approximately 20 students participated. Due to the short duration of the lunch period, the session focused on introducing students to the fundamentals of crochet with each participant learning how to create a slipknot, an essential first step in starting any crochet project.

The workshop was co-facilitated by Kamilah of Krochet_by_Kami, who generously provided yarn and crochet hooks during the session and assisted in guiding the students as they practiced the techniques.
Elaine’s extends sincere thanks to The Ellerslie School for the invitation and support in making the workshop a meaningful and engaging experience for the students. It was a pleasure to contribute to a week dedicated to celebrating and empowering young women.
